Origin & Cause Strengthens Brand with Clean, Consistent Headshot Images

Origin and Cause Inc., Canada’s largest forensic engineering and fire investigation firm, is based in Mississauga, with satellite offices all across Canada. They hired me to photograph headshots of their team members, develop a consistent style, and edit images from other photographers across Canada to match their new headshot style.

Client Needs

Origin and Cause Inc. was expanding their business and developing a stronger brand. They began searching for a photographer to help photograph and define their brand style for headshots across the country. They hadn’t had headshots of their staff created before but they needed a clean look that was easy for other photographers across the country to replicate. They also needed a lighting plan that they could provide other photographers with to match the look of the original images.

The Solution

Origin and Cause found me, and a number of other photographers through an online search. They liked my work the best but my initial budget was a little high for them. In return for a discount on the initial session, they agreed to give me the first right of refusal on all their photography needs for the next 12 months.

Initially, I photographed 25 staff members in two cities in one day; one location in the morning and one location in the afternoon.

Conclusion

Origin and Cause Inc. continues to hire me regularly to photograph new hires in Southern Ontario and edit images from photographers across the country for new hires outside of my region. I recently updated headshots for some of the staff I photographed in 2014 at a team-building event they hold each year.
